If you are an accessory addict like me, its hard not to be drawn to all the different types of handbags and purses, that are everywhere you go. After all, handbags are a necessary accessory.

I like to watch what people wear, and the style they bring forth with their selections. One accessory I notice first, is the choice of handbag. Some women have tiny bags that are a choice of necessity, while others see it as a way to showcase style and fashion.

I change my handbag to match my outfit, or to give my wardrobe a pop of color. When I buy, I usually buy based on what I like, and according to budget. Now that I thrift, I can afford some I couldn’t before. I have thrifted Tommy Hilfiger, Nine West, Tignanello, Liz Claibourne and Sophia Caperelli. The handbags I dream of finding in a thrift store are Michael Kors and Tory Burch.

Most of the pictures I have posted are handbags I love, but some are actually ones I own. I can’t carry a small bag, I carry to much stuff, and my phone is almost as big as a tablet, so I need space. So, what are your handbag needs and styles? Are you a fashionista or just a necessity gal?

Building outfits with my thrifty finds

The pictures I have posted are collages of the outfits I build with my thrifty finds.

Each outfit has at least one thrifted piece, usually more. Some are the whole outfit, except the jewelry. I combine my Silpada Design jewels with my thrifty finds and build a stunning outfit.

I now wear name brands such as J.Crew, Liz Claibourne, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor. I have thrifted handbags such as Nine West, Tommy Hilfiger, and Tignanello.

I am relatively new to thrifting and this will be my first seasonal change, and I am excited. I have already started to shop for long sleeves and jackets, and can’t wait till I score a pair of boots.

I love getting my pieces home and building an outfit from what I have in my closet. How do you thrift shop? Do you look for specifics, or just what you like?

Here is to never paying full pice again!!

PhotoGrid_1372722704850[1]These photo collages are all outfits I put together for a day at work, all done with most of the clothing being purchased at thrift stores. I love mixing and matching my thrifty finds along with my handbags, which most are also thrifted, and bringing it all together with my beautiful Silpada jewelry. It has become my obsession to dress myself on the cheap, now that I am aware that I can have designer labels without the price, I can’t bring myself to pay full price for my clothes. I have labels such as J. Crew, Banana Republic, Talbots, Chico’s, Liz Claiborne and Ann Taylor to name a few, I wouldn’t be able to afford some of these brands without thrifting. My handbags are Nine West, Sophia Caperelli and Tignanello along with others. So to sum it up, Goodwill and Salvation Army are my Macy’s, why pay full price when you don’t have to.
